RCU saves the day! I had to hustle to get a check for a loan to receive a car bought online. Between the diligent help and support of Denise Martin, Cecelia Leslie, Tracy and the Windsor branch CSR that LITERALLY handed me the check 2 minutes before closing (1:58 on a SATURDAY) they got it DONE! Way to go RCU women and the team that made this happen. This is not the first time RCU has come to the rescue for me, so I am forever loyal!

The best local credit union! Staff are helpful and down to earth. Lots of open parking at this location.

I have this posted to my Facebook Page because I think VERY highly of these fine folks. I believe in acknowledging when people do incredible things, and calling out the awful where I see it, so in that spirit I wanted to share how wonderful my experience with Redwood Credit Union has been. I have experienced the services of a handful of banks and credit unions, usually with experiences ranging from middling to severely negative encounters but I hadn't, before banking with RCU, experienced the positive. I hadn't realized the full range of how much they do for their members and the community until I began working their sites as a Security Officer through my company, SOCO Security. In my time here I have seen their employees treated with respect, genuine care, and provided an incredible environment to grow and be happy within. I have seen this extended to the community as well, who now that Christmas is drawing near, have their wishes from the more down on their luck hung up on the RCU Christmas Tree, and the employees and management alike have been taking these wishes and fulfilling them, purchasing the items written down to make some folks lives a little better. During the fires I had seen what I had never seen before. All Employees given time off to go be with their families and attend to their affairs while the management, executives, and CEO himself came in to work and make sure that the banking services members needed in that stressful and dark hour were available. They offered services beyond this as well, even turning their administrative location into a shelter and providing supplies to other shelters and those in need. Finally, and I have seen so much more good, but on a more personal level, they have watched my performance, treated me well while providing a fun and professional environment in which to work. They have seen some of my personal struggles, ranging from housing to financial, and made a point of reaching out to offer me resources, loans, refinancing, and even a gift card with enough money to eat well on for a month at a local cafe. The CEO himself and several executives have offered me this, and have frequently reached out just to check up on me. Though I have turned down their offers for assistance due to my personal feelings I have remained astounded by their kindness, and the fact that they have left the door open on these offers if I should change my mind. I wanted to write this post so at the very least those in my life and social circle know of the amazing deeds Redwood Credit Union has performed on a regular basis since I have come to bank and work with them. I am over the moon with joy to be able to write about the beauty a group brings into the world when I have rarely had opportunity to do so before. Anywho, my best regards to everyone! Have a beautiful day and week.

Usually a credit union is a good bet when opening a business locally. Not in my case. I recently open a business account with RCCU. A random RCCU member I have no connection to whatsoever, emptied my business account funds. I contacted RCCU... It has been DAYS, my business account is locked, I have no access to or return of the funds. They have NOT gotten back to me when they said they would. I am left totally clueless as to what is going on. NOT good business! Will be going elsewhere. They really don't seem to know what they are doing.

can i withdraw $800 in a bank in south lake tahoe and how much will it cost me?

Depends if it's a co-op ATM. There is a co-op symbol on the back of the RCU Debit card, if the atm you're trying to withdrawal from has that symbol, it's free. you can withdrawal funds from any other credit union, 7/11 or Costco for free. In the event that you cannot find a co-op atm, RCU does reverse up to 2 ATM fees per month, automatically. RCU does not reverse Casino Atm fees.
