Simply the BEST Italian food in the Sarasota area! Absolutely some of the best Italian food I have had in my life! Oh, and they have an outstanding wine list! And the service team makes you feel like family! Bottom line, a fantastic dining experience!!!

For my 75th birthday dinner I chose Marcello for all the right reasons. Great food prepared individually by the owner, ambiance of a small intimate Italian dining room, great waiter and great wine selection. For appetizers my wife had the tuna carpaccio and I had the burrata with truffles. The smile on my wife’s face said everything about how good the tuna was prepared. The burrata was sumptuous My wife had the shrimp risotto and I had the swordfish Siciliano. Again my wife was highly impressed and my swordfish was 1 1/2” thick and perfectly prepared. Our wines were Chardonnay for my wife and Chianti for me. Our waiter Lauris was as always very attentive. Everything was perfect. Marcello placed a ribeye chop on the bar for all to see.

Hands down the best meal I have ever had!! Between all courses and the quality of the food and the presentation!!! I would recommend this place 1000 times over. Plus the moxie that the owner has for his craft is second to none !!!!!!

Yes, I think it is $30. However, their wine list is very very good and very very reasonably priced. They just don't have it online which is a shame. I was planning on bringing my own wine and decided against it and it was great. When I went they had Caymus for $89 which is only $20 mark up. Can't beat that! They will also open a bottle and decant it for you so that it is ready by dinner time. Very important for their young brunellos.
