Pierre Beaulieu at Vo2max Cycles provided amazing customer service by ensuring a positive customer experience. Here's my story. With the shortage of cycling parts and accessories during the pandemic, I was having trouble finding replacement wheels for my bike. I had a cracked hub and my usual bike shop told me that I had to replace the whole wheel. They didn't have the least expensive Mavic's I wanted, so I hit the on-line marketplace, only to find so many out of stocks at an affordable price point. That is, until I found the exact wheels I wanted at Vo2max in San Antonio, Florida. (I live in NYC.) I ordered the wheels (on sale!) straightaway. I received confirmation of my order, but after about 5 days, I hadn't heard anything. So I reached out to Pierre, who apologized and sent the wheels out on the following Monday. But unfortunately, the wheels were for disc brakes instead of rim brakes so I let Pierre know that I had to send them back. Again, he apologize and said that he would send the rim brake version which he had in stock. Fearful of not finding what I needed and maybe having to spend more than I wanted, I was glad to hear I could still get the wheels anyway. But, unfortunately, he found that he actually didn't have the right wheels. So instead, he offered a more expensive wheel set for the *exact same price*! When I offered to pay shipping, he said that was unnecessary and he would take care of it. Now I would've gladly have paid the shipping, but when Pierre refused, I knew he had committed to create a positive customer experience. Even though I'm all the way in New York and I may never visit his shop! This isn't just a story of someone doing the right thing, it's one in which someone (Pierre) actually was doing a *good* thing. You see, I didn't mention to him that I was recently laid off and I couldn't afford to waste a single dime. Cycling is a passion and my primary physical exercise, so I knew that I couldn't do without it for my own struggling mental state. So his kind gesture meant so much more to me. Unless he reads this review, he may never know how he helped someone in need without being cognizant of the circumstances. If he does read this, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! And I'll end with this. Visit and support your local bike shop as best you can. They really are the ones who can help you and understand the meaning of bike culture (i.e., always offer to help someone stuck on the side of the road, literally and metaphorically, with a tube, a tool, a CO2 cartridge, or free shipping because you never know when it'll be you). TL;DR: Vo2max shop does the right and good thing by honoring an on-line purchase, and providing a free upgrade to make up for an out-of-stock situation, exemplifying true customer service.

Decided to take my mountain bike out of storage and get the cobwebs taken off of it which landed me at Vo2Max bike shop. Man O Man was I pleased... From first impression I was blown away their level of customer service was First Class. Ricky who handled my service was amazing. They went through my bike completely and all I can say is they left it just like the day I first rode it. I could not be more happy with the customer service and the quality of work that was done. I am sure to make it a point to use them from now on whenever I need anything bicycle related...

Being a seasoned endurance athlete myself I feel very fortunate to have been introduced to this remarkable gem of a cycle store by the bike manufacturer Argon18 directly, which subsequentually resulted in me immediately purchasing my newest Triathlon bike here. Yes, you guest correct, it was the latest Argon18 Triathlon model.
