Beautiful, well maintained educational park. A must visit. I take many of my lunch breaks here and will never be tired of it. Free to the public.

A nice relaxing park with several plaques and various statues memorializing past wars and fallen soldiers. Very calm and a nice place to visit and relax. A brief paved walking path that follows the river. You can fish or just enjoy the breeze and watch the alligators.

This place is amazing. As crazy as it sounds, you can almost feel every veterans presence. There is such a sense of peace sitting in any area of the park, no matter which memorial you are observing. No, I am not a veteran myself but have many family members who are. I will be going back to make this a definite all day trip.

Great park to show respect and to learn history about the people (and animals) that served our Country. There are lots of outside memorials and a small inside museum. Not really a good place for little ones, lots of things that look fun to climb but are off limits. Maybe they should think about making this place a little more family friendly. I know my father who served, would love nothing more than to hear the sound of children laughing and playing, in a country he fought to protect... Don't wait until Memorial day to come enjoy this park.

Yes you can fish, cast net, and even trout line under a hundred feet be sure and have your license there are certain days and weekends of the year that you don't need one like when Veterans Day just went by but there are also others if you push on my profile picture it'll take you to my maps may take a little while to find it because I have over a hundred forty thousand views but I got all the information that you need from there. And I'd like to add on that there are all kinds of different fish in the canal has a lot of people take their fish tanks and dump them in there like a few years back I caught what's called a pacu which is actually a type of piranha that is supposed to be a vegetarian but I caught it off piece of liver trying to catch catfish it weighed 11 and a quarter pounds I have also caught a 9 lb bass Largemouth in many many many tilapia out of that canal depending on what you trying to catch of course depends on your baits. Good luck and I hope this was helpful.
Yes. It's similar to a 1/4 mile track but a very nice park to ride around. Lots of shade as well.
I believe that there will be an Event, just not sure of the time. Perhaps call the Park office to confirm.
Hi Sheila. The wall will be put up on October 25th. Open to the public this weekend.
I believe so. First come first serve.
It should be.
