I am asian and I am less than the average in height. So imagine me chasing the hertz rep at the hotel asking for my contract to be canceled after hertz was not able to provide the vehicle I reserved. I did not move the vehicle, I said, and he said, even so we cannot cancel in this level I did not understand him but I called the number he said that could help. He says further call the number because they will be the only one who'd be able to cancel. I did, right in front of him, and just as I was calling he left the hertz counter and walked away. Guess what the corporate billing said The cancellation can only be done at the branch level and thankfully i was able to find the hertz rep and while on speaker he heard his corp say that the cancellation can only be done at the branch level what a waste of time. The manager cancelled the contract what the incompetent guy was saying could not be done!

They were so friendly at the counter...... I reserved a Mid-Size SUV at this Hertz location as we were staying in the hotel, the price for the SUV listed on the Hertz website was US$55+... w/o insurance or add on.... When at the counter, the staff apologized that they don't have the SUV available, he told us that since we're Airline Staff and their regular supporters, he'll do his best to get us something. He took out the key of a Mustang Convertible and told us that we can have it to enjoy the California sun. We were happy that the staff was so kind to us. He went on to brief us on the insurance coverage and we took the full package. We took the car & head out for lunch at Venice beach. I received the email from Hertz on the rental agreement contract and after reading through it, we were shocked that there was a US$75 for a vehicle upgrade on top of the listed SUV rental price. What is this? Why he never ask for our permission or if we're OK for this additional 'Upgrade Charge'??? We felt so cheated on this as we trusted him and thinking that he was such a nice staff that gave us a better car for the same price. Is Hertz going on with this kinda scamming to their customers if they didn't read the mini fine prints that needs magnification to read?? Come on!!! This is totally not acceptable!! We return to the counter the next day to confront the staff and to return the car. He have no choice but to remove the US$75 charge on the contract. To the rest who read this, please beware what is on your rental contract!!!!!

This place is the worst. If I could give it negative stars I would. I reserved a car online, on the day of the pick up I reserved for 1030. Life happens with a child so I didn't get there till 12. Good news they are closed from 12-1. I can get over that as people have to eat. Once they returned I was told my car was given to another customer. You have 1 hour from your reserved time to pick or sorry about your luck. My family was stuck in LA with no vehicle. Guy behind the counter said better luck next time. I still can't find online where it says be there within an hour of your reserved time. So never rent from here!!!

Jean and Vladimir were excellent. My grandfather was the first Ford dealer in Utah and we wanted to have a Ford rental, but hardly any service does that anymore. We used another service and found the least expensive Jaguar for 10% more than the running cost of compatible cars. Then we went to Hertz rentals at Torrance Marriott, and found we could save hundreds of dollars by switching back to them! Then Jean and Vladimir treated us royally and set us up with an amazing car. We love learning all the new features, such as the sound system, the visual systems, electronic shifting system, and all the rest.

Anytime, drop the key in their lock box inside the hotel if during off hours.
Yes the only thing is that they put a hold of 200 dollars
You have to get on their website and set up a rental to see the prices. Every day is a little different and if you're a AAA auto club member, you get an additional discount. Oh, you can call and ask them anything, of course.
Maybe closed forever?!
The cardholder has to be the person renting the car and it cannot be paid via multiple cards upon pick-up.
