From when I walked in the door till checkout, the Hollander Hotel was a class act. The staff was exceptionally kind and attentive. A special shout out to Will at the front desk. Made sure I was comfortable. The.pool party.on Sunday had a great vibe tasty drinks and the best ribeye sandwich I've had in a long time. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. The owner keeps his eye on detail. Nothing was wrong or out of place. I worked for years as General Manager of JR'S Bar and Grill in Houston, Texas owned by Charles Armstrong. Charles made sure that everything in his establishment were first class and demanded his staff do the same. That's why it was the number 1 gay established in Texas. Staying at the Hollander reminded me of Those great days working for Charles. Kept a smile on my face for my entire stay and look forward to doing it again and also to experience their new venture in Saint Pete, The Mari Jean Hotel,a gay resort.

Hands down the best place to stay when visiting St. Pete. They have wonderful customer service- you never have to worry about routing through a phone tree when you call, you always get the great staff at the front desk who are ready to help. Every single employee here from the pool bar to the Taproom to the coffee shop always have a smile and such a natural positivity that doesn't ever seem forced or fake. The building is a bit older but we think that adds to the charm. Beds are comfy, rooms are always clean, parking is free, complimentary water bottles (as many as you'd like), absolute perfect location to walk to Central or Downtown, and great decor/interior design. We've stayed here probably a dozen times now as it's our first pick when coming to visit St. Pete. The last time we stayed the weather wasn't great and we were so glad to be at the Hollander because our trip was still so much fun because of this hotel. We watched the rain on the front porch while eating brunch, we were bar flies at the Taproom bar area (Liz, Chris, Anthony will take care of you), and we made a day of museums with some being just across the street. Can't say enough about this special place. True gem

I love this place! All of the staff - from front desk, housekeeping, wait staff, bartenders, maintenance...were exceptionally helpful and kind. This is a historic hotel, so yes, the rooms are a bit small and dated, but that's part of the experience. If you don't want that experience, go to the Marriott.. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The pool area is a gem in the middle of the city. Hotel is easy walking distance to cafes, museums, waterfront, etc. The food and service in the restaurant were great. Outside dining in long, covered porch is lovely, albeit, somewhat noisy with street traffic, but again, it's in the middle of the city...

Right from the start, you can tell that they are customer focused! That means a lot these days. There’s an old world charm to this place that you don’t get in the corporate hotels. The hardwood floors and the vintage decor/large nostalgic murals & canvas prints Bring you back in time. They give out free water bottles to start, then anytime you want them. The pub/taproom best foods in Saint Pete, and we tried a lot! It’s an excellent place to stay if you want to walk to some of the best little restaurants or down to the pier. The bathroom in our king room was definitely smaller than I would hope for since we stayed for five nights. And the view of the parking lot wasn’t that great. Wish we could’ve had a balcony room, but those booked too fast. The other positives made up for any negatives. The outdoor pool, bar & staff were the best! Although it was only in the 70s most of our stay, we always took advantage of the sun, lounge chairs, cabanas, drinks/food and the music at the pool! Very cozy feel even though you’re downtown:) Will definitely be back!!

I don't think so.
The hotel offers free shuttle to downtown and I think Tropicana field is a little bit farther. I know they can take you near to the trolley station and it's only 50 cents to go from there
Check-in is at 3:00 pm.
