I have grown up with this park and now my daughter is enjoying nature here as well! When I was a kid we would come and dig up Indian artifacts such as arrows and other fossils. You would also catch pet fiddler crabs and fish. I'm glad that they continue to preserve the park and make it stay the quaint little Park full of nature. It's very peaceful and as always been a place I'm able to walk or just sit and meditate.👍

This is a fantastic little park with incredible views and a covered sitting area to enjoy the intercoastal waterway. I like the little playground and a nice covered area for a picnic.

Please keep your trash with you not in the animal's homes. Found many junk food wrappers, smoking items of all sorts, plastics, and beverage containers. As a guardian of nature please if you don't care for yourself that's your thing but you are not entitled to trash Nature.

Kids had so much fun at the birthday party we were invited to. The family had set up a bouncy house, lots of simple snacks and ordered in Pizza. There is a playground and lots of room to run. The one drawback is that there is a small pond, pretty close the the eating area, so keep a close eye on those curious little explorers!

The C Daniels response to this thread unfortunately has the correct short answer save larghetto. This park has been kept going by volunteers for a long while now. A volunteer would open the park every morning, pick up and empty trash. She still does this most days. The city or county did not consistently lock up so they came up with a great idea to get rid of humans while increasing taxes for the general fund and make an automatic gate. The gate never closed completely and broke after a week. Now the park is open 24 - 7 but the restrooms are usually locked. The brand new gate has been broken for about two months. Not sure if they plan to fix it.
