Beaver Lake State Park

Beaver Lake is beautiful, hidden gem of a county park with 600 acres, 9 trails ranging from a number that are short to a 3 mi. trail around the lake. They also have a number of group educational activities, tours as well as canoeing, kayaking, snowshoeing and much more. Very clean and friendly. I highly recommend.

We had a lot of fun here. It is very removed from anything, but fun for kids and family. A lot of bike riding and trail available. An updated playground would be nice for kids. They have a weekly scavenger hunt that kept us busy for a couple hours on Saturday! The kids were excited to be winners! Another check on our state park tour!

Beautiful Park. Great for camping. Nice kept trails and grounds. So many different birds!

I can only speak about the camping area in this park, as we did not explore the lake or the trails. That being said, we really enjoyed our stay at campsites 30 and 31. These were large and mostly away from the other campsites, so relatively quiet. One of them also had a trail leading down to the lake and a large open area, so that was nice. Our dogs loved being able to jump in the lake, I saw a great sunrise over the lake, and it was a convenient stop on our way through North Dakota.
