Second time coming out to Sylvan Beach. It started off a little rainy, but that didn’t stop us or anyone for that matter and enjoying this beach. Perfect for families with little ones. There are red boundaries out in the water that ensure the your family stay within due bounds. If your looking for something fun and simple, Sylvan will not disappoint. Take note that there are no lifeguards on duty.

My discovery of this beach has been a nice surprise and definitively budget-friendly. It is relatively clean, not too crowded (4th of July weekend was obviously an exception 😬), and distance is half the drive to Galveston (gas-saver). Chilled vibe. Only drawback is that it closes at 8pm but you can still hang around the grass area (park) until 10pm.

Very nice beach. They also have a playground for kids. This was my first time being there. They have 2 piers however you need to buy a Pier pass that is $4 just to walk on it. I learned that it is a city regulation not fish and game. Was disappointed with that but other then that it's a great beach very clean and great location about a 40 minute drive from Houston instead of having to go to Galveston.

This was a really nice park. There are two beaches for swimming, a fishing pier, bait shop, and playground. We brought my neices here and they both really enjoyed the park. We fished on the pier and had a good time all around.

Yes
The water is deep. It does have a sand beach . And as long as there is a adult with them . It very beautiful
Maybe out past the swimming area which they have sectioned off. It looked like there was a place to launch boats and such in another area.
