Check in staff were incredibly nice. Rooms were clean, bathrooms were maintained, showers were hot. Beds were very comfortable. I'm not sure I'd want to walk around too late at night, the streets south of the hotel could be a bit uncomfortable if you're not used to it, especially for women traveling alone, but the hotel itself has key card entry so nobody unsafe is getting into the building. West and north of the hotel were very safe seeming. After 11 the music turns off and most people were quiet by midnight. Would stay here again.

Loved the place.. A bit cramped in general but excellent location, staff and service overall. LOVED Blandina Farley's companionship.. She does amazing tours! Solo women travellers check this out!

Need Elevator/& a way to cool rooms especially upstairs! Top bump beds with more than 4 rails need remodeling! Many aren't comfortable with top bump beds get feed back!!!

Hello G B, I will have to get back to you regarding the exact dimensions. I would call them 'medium sized'. Large enough for a day pack/small backpack or laptop, wallet, keys, passport etc. If you need to store larger items securely then you could place them in our locked storage room, which is accessible during our front desk hours from 9am - 11pm daily
We have a partnership with our neighbors, Quetzal Cafe, where with a direct booking, you receive a breakfast voucher at the front desk which can be redeemed next door (vouchers are also available for $7 if you book over an OTA). The 8 breakfast options are as follows: - Breakfast Burrito + Small Coffee - Breakfast Sandwich + Small Coffee - Egg Sandwhich + 1 side + Small Coffee - 2 Eggs + 1 side + Small Coffee - Turkey/Cheese or Ham/Cheese Cold Sandwich - Big Green OR Greek salad - Veggie Burrito + Small Coffee - Bagel with Tomato, Avocado and Cucumber
Your ID just needs to have the name that is on the reservation. As long as they can find your reservation you will be fine.
Hello Karina. Our reception is open from 9am - 11pm. If you are planning to check in after 11pm, let us know and we can make special arrangements for a late check in. You are welcome to come by after 9am before you check in, to drop off your luggage and explore the city until your room is ready, which is by 3pm.
There is a couple fairly nice parking garages in the area, but nothing associated with the hotel.
Most hotels in San Francisco dont have parking. When they do it is $45-75 a night. Parking on the street is difficult but the cheapest option. Private garages are available for $25-60 a day
Minutes away you can hop on the 19 Polk or walk to Vanness and catch the 49 Mission or the 47 and get off on Market. The front desk is really helpful and they have maps. This hostel is in cool area a lot restaurants you will have a great time.
