Simple Practice is great in many ways. Makes it super easy to send paperwork for e-signature, to have clients fill out assessments, and to communicate confidentially. The notes are also easy with the load from previous note feature, but treatment plans are challenging to edit even while you’re completing them. The calendar also has some bugs, where I couldn’t schedule recurring weekly appointments more than a few at a time. For the most part, it works well. The biggest drawback for me is the price, because it’s my biggest business expense and it adds an equally big expense when the integrated card processing fee is the highest in the industry.

I recently started using simple practice for my solo private practice. I find it very intuitive and easy to use. It seems the listen to customers and are continuously adding new features which is nice. My clients are easily able to access paperwork to complete electronically. They are also able to schedule directly which I like as it saves me time. It is a little cumbersome to create templates/documents but some are included. I paid for the middle tier in order to have access to the professional website. It’s VERY basic and I wish it was more customizable and it allowed for links to be added, more than one page, etc. Overall I am happy with the service.

Simple Practice was good up until recently. They changed the pricing, and raised the pricing almost double the amount to be able to access a few of the key features I was already accessing. I am now unable to do calendar sync without paying significantly more. The way they suddenly shifted their pricing and plan tiers was definitely not good business practice for their clients. I may look into switching to an alternative, such as, “Therapy Notes”.

Extremely disappointed with the new pricing tiers. I have loved using SimplePractice and have recommended their service to many colleagues. This is the first time I've been taken aback and upset by their service. Expecting long-term customers to upgrade to the top tier (an additional $30/month from my current rate) to continue accessing the incredibly basic service of being able to sync calendars is absolutely ridiculous. I won't be upgrading because that cost increase is outrageous and I can no longer give SP a glowing review. Please re-consider your choices here.

Hi Jill - Yes, if you're using an iPad or Android tablet, you have the option of logging into the web version of SimplePractice through a browser or downloading the SimplePractice mobile app to use. Keep in mind that the mobile app was designed for a smartphone, so the functionality and experience will be the same on a tablet as it is on a phone. There is currently no iPad or tablet version of the SimplePractice mobile app.
II also would like to start today. Directions confusing...can I have live person help?
