This was the first time I had my two school aged boys in day care and our experience has not been a good or happy one. After 3 weeks in care I received a call from one of the directors letting me know that my son had a broken arm. I immediately left work to find my son sitting in the office with a cardboard placed under his arm to keep it in place. Both bones were broken and one of the bones punctured his skin. Then I was asked what hospital I was taking him to. I asked for them to call ems. When ems arrived they set up an iv and started pain meds. He was immediately take to childrens hospital where he was taken in for surgery that lasted 2 hours and stayed the night so he can be given antibiotics to prevent infection since the bone punctured the skin and was exposed to dirt and who knows what else. Then I find out from my son that the woman who was supposed to be in charge was not paying attention due to being on her phone. When he asked her for help she just stood over him watching and told him to get up. This is the worst experience ever. And then only to be told by the state rep that they did everything right. Also I forgot to mention that the child who pushed my child while they were playing is the child of an employee from the day care.
