Fall Creek Vineyards in Driftwood

We stayed in the Chardonnay room and loved it. The staff are wonderful, so mindful of everything from top to bottom. We had a tasting and a few glasses later in the evening along with the pimento cheese and it was all FANTASTIC. Staying local to Driftwood was nice since there's a lot of wineries nearby to check out and Fall Creek is kinda near all of them. We'll be back, and drag some friends with us too!

Tex Vues

This weekend. Walked in after driving 2 hours for an event that started at a certain time. We arrived at 15 minutes early. We were not greeted but were barked at by a woman that they do not open for 13 more minutes. Perfectly fine. We were not trying to drink anything, eat anything or beat anyone to the punch for a reservation. We were simply trying to use the restroom since I am 8 months pregnant. I was there with a group. My mom was also there. The woman is 70 years old and also needed to use the restroom. We were not in any way trying to buy anything. But we were also not even allowed to say any words before being rudely reprimanded for existing. In the future we will make note not to come back because walking in the open and unlocked door caused us to be yelled at. I would also like to reiterate that if you have an event that STARTS AT A CERTAIN TIME then perhaps you should be understanding of the fact that people may get there before THAT TIME and try to open the door to use the restroom.

We so enjoyed our visit and wine tasting experience with Laura and the amazing staff at Fall Creek! They went out of their way to make us feel special! No better way to spend a Saturday afternoon that sharing it with great friends and great wine!

Planned a last minute trip out of town for our anniversary and was excited to find the Chardonnay room was available. The room is comfortable and the winery is very quiet at night. One evening after the winery had closed for the day, we took advantage of the beautiful weather and dined on the back terrace. The staff treated us like family. It doesn’t get any better than that! They were busy yet we noticed how well they interacted with each guest. Service like that is hard to find these days. Cassie, is an awesome ambassador for this family owned winery. We enjoyed the wines Fall Creek offers, with the Tempranillo and Chardonnay being our favorites. A plus was hearing about the history of the winery and it’s early connection to Texas Tech. Fall Creek is well worth it, whether it’s just for wine tasting or staying the night.
