Be careful scheduling any procedure here. The departments don’t talk to each other and in some cases have no idea what they’re doing. I was scheduled for a Cortisone shot on May 10, but came down with Covid on May 8. So I called them and they asked me to reschedule for May 24. I do so. I call them yesterday to make 100% certain that I can still come in for the shot. I tell them I tested negative on 5/13. They say absolutely I should still come in for surgery. Today I show up, they take my vitals, they put an IV in. 20 minutes later the SurgiCenter manager comes in and tells me my shot is cancelled. They have a four week policy, AND I have to get a negative PCR test within 3 days of the surgery. Now I’m going to have go see the physiatrist again before I can schedule the shot again, and have to live with terrible lower back pain for at least another month. All because the staff at this place don’t know how to communicate with each other or just don’t care. I’ve been a patient of PAMF/Sutter Health for over 20 years. After I finally get the shot, I’m never going back.

We visited this location for doing EKG test for my wife. On next day, I came to know that the reports are not yet reached to the Doctor(outside Palo Alto Medical Foundation). So, Just to know the status of the reports, it took me about 70 minutes. I got transferred from one department to other. Finally after getting connected to the concerned department, representative told that the reports are pending to finalize by Cardiology Department and they don't have ETA on it. This was very bad experience as the issue was related to pain in chest. They also do not have any way to fast-track such case.

Very efficient. In and out quickly while always pleasant and professional. Of course the staff is excellent. Waiting rooms and lobby are clean and spacious. Even has a Pete's coffee stand on your way out. Parking is never a problem. Couldn't ask for more.

Never had an issue with the doctors. They have been very professional and attentive. In fact, I use their website to message them and the doctors were quick to reply and follow up frequently. The only issue I have had is their schedules. They are hard to book and usually have to plan a month or more in advance. I always look for cancellations which usually come often enough. It helps to have a flexible work schedule. They are expanding and trying to keep up with the demand; always looking for good doctors.

I've been to Dr. Richard Jensen at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) and he has done a very good job treating my feet over the past 3 years.
There is an information desk at the lobby. You can also look for signage for your department. Routine physical check up is "Family Medicine", for example. Each department will have their own reception area.
To contact your doctor you need to call the doctor's office directly not leave messages on Google Maps.
I guess, to see a new primary care doctor or family medicine doctor, you can call the PAMF phone number and ask operator for the primary care/ family medicine doctors who are taking up new patients and have the appointment scheduled. So, for primary care doctor, referral isn't required unlike speciality doctors.
Typo, should've written Shingrix
