Very fun and organized summer camp. Lots of fun for kids with activities such as kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing, and so much more. Highly recommend this to Silicon Valley parents.

Very nice open space with water sports and golf course at the middle of Silicon Valley

If accompanied by a responsible adult, and only taking part as passengers, two years is the minimum age for children on any watercraft/boat on Shoreline Lake. The minimum age for children handling their own single kayak will depend on wind conditions and the activity planned (e.g., a minimum 5 years old for kids in Camp Shoreline, and a recommended minimum of 8 years old for other kayaking activities). To obtain the specific cut-off for a particular day/conditions and activity, please contact the Boathouse directly (650-965-7474 & https://shorelinelake.com/hours.html).
Free to visit the lake; only costs involved are to purchase food at the cafe or rent boats/equipment to take out on the lake. Rental costs for boats or bikes are similar to other outdoor recreation areas and you can check prices for different watercraft on their website.
Park is open as usual untill dusk but boathouse is closed.
I don't think I have seen tables if that's what you are looking for, but you could picnic on the grass
Assuming this question refers to motorized watercraft, they are not allowed on the Lake. If you would like more specific information, or have additional questions, please contact the Boathouse (https://shorelinelake.com/hours.html). They'll be happy to help.
Rental info for kayaks and other watersports vessels can be found here: https://shorelinelake.com/book_rentals.php
If you are interested in booking a boat you may come in person or book online https://shorelinelake.com/book_rentals.php
Yes there is a launch fee for anything going into the lake
You may launch your own non-motorized vessel. You will want to pick up the launch tag from the main office before entering the lake. You may purchase a launch tag for a future date in advance if coming outside normal seasonal hours or an annual unlimited single vessle launch pass for $100/ yr. The current cost is $5 per vessel ($6 for sailboats) to use this lake and you must bring your own lifejacket, otherwise we rent them here for $5 ea.
You can not fish there, but , you can surf, paddle boat, kayak there.
Service dogs are allowed, however companion animals are not allowed within in Shoreline Park as it is a sensitive wildlife area. There is a dog park at the entrance, however.
You need to pay some sort of loading dock fee. I forgot what they call it. $10 a day I think. So you'll need them to open.
