Sanctuary is the young adults ministry of Menlo Church, which helps young adults connect with each other, serve the community and discover a transformative relationship with Jesus. Menlo Legacy is our vibrant community of senior adults.
Through small groups and an engaging story-based curriculum, our Menlo Kids program partners with parents to teach timeless truths that are unique to each age level. Most important, it is always fun! We also offer on-demand video content so your kids can stay connected wherever you are. Menlo Students is our ministry for middle and high schoolers. They get together weekly for their own worship time, fun activities, games, and small groups. Through this program, teens have an opportunity to create a community that walks with them during the crucial teen years. For our Special Needs program, teen and adult volunteers, called “buddies,” provide one-on-one support and assistance during our Menlo Kids program during weekend services. This program also has an online option for those families who want to stay connected but find it easier to do it from home.
We would love to pray for you about any challenges you may be facing. You can send us a prayer request on our website. Give us a brief description of the problem you’re facing and how God can address it. Whether you are looking to God to help change hearts, create opportunities, or give wisdom, we are here to walk alongside you in your prayers.
Our support and recovery groups are safe and caring communities that welcome those who are hurting. Our purpose is to help you experience emotional healing, learn self-awareness and grow in your relationship with Jesus as we model his compassionate and transforming love. Menlo Church offers many groups of varying sizes and dynamics. A few options include one-on-one care, visits for shut-ins, job search support, financial coaching and study, divorce and relationship recovery, fertility support group, grief support, premarital mentoring, and more.
Menlo offers many opportunities to serve the community, including during Serve Your City, which we hold a few times a year, when we get together as a church community to serve our local communities in projects stretching from San Francisco to the South Bay. Our goal is to bring hope, joy, and strength to each other and those around us. There are opportunities for all ages, skill levels, and interests.
On each campus, look for signs directing you to Info Central, where you’ll find people to answer your questions and get you started on next steps. You can also look for volunteer or staff members wearing a Menlo Church t-shirt, lanyard, or badge.
Expect friendly, welcoming people, uplifting worship music, and a sermon that digs deep into the life lessons and practical wisdom of the Bible.
Menlo Church believes in the Holy Trinity and the authority of the Bible. We believe that mankind was created in God’s image. While humans have sinned and fallen from grace, we also believe in the redemptive power of Jesus Christ and his sacrifice. You can read more on our website
Menlo Church has strong roots in the Presbyterian denomination. In 2014, Menlo joined the ECO denomination (A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians).
On a high level yes. My pansexual friend felt welcomed even during a sermon on sexuality. However I have not noticed other LGBTQ couples.
