"A hidden jewel in the back of an antique shop. Even as far as retro game shops go, this one's got some rare finds and really good stuff. Prices are fair and close to eBay." ...is what I said when I reviewed this place pre-COVID. Over the last couple of years, it seems the owner has lost his mind. There is a LOT of cool stuff in stock and he's got just about every "Holy Grail" retro game you can think of, which is cool too see, but the prices are insulting. You'd do better just to stick to eBay.

It’s a okay place for rare games but they’re extremely overpriced vs the prices on eBay & Amazon

So. A Hipster's Paradise, from what I saw, is just a very small back corner of the antique shop in downtown Carrollton. The antique part is cool but the retro games section was not anything special. I was really excited for it but there just wasn't much there.

I’ve been meaning to restart my GameCube collection and either couldn’t find childhood games at a good affordable price. I found melee around the same price as you would find in eBay but finding other games at an affordable price in racks just how you would find at GameStop a decade ago is amazing, not to mention how incredibly patient the ladies were when I was asking around a million questions. Have and would definitely go again even if it’s just to look around what they have.

Sorry they just switched over from holiday hours on Friday. Didn’t even think of it. Updated now, open tomorrow 10-5. Have a good one.
I’ll be bringing in a fat fully backwards compatible model this weekend.
