Been here many times over many years. Consistently good food & service. We’ve sat on the patio many times (which is my preference) part of the patio is under roof & part is umbrellas. Sits right on the canal. They have a bar on the patio also. Live music on the weekends. Inside is great as well, nice atmosphere. Food has always been consistent & very good & fresh. Nice diverse menu. Prices are fair, cocktails are strong, beer is cold. Manager or possibly owner always greats us, great staff! Zero complaints. I live close by and I have been trying to get here for quite some time but always been so packed so my expectations were really high. Finally got in and was highly disappointed. Got the steak sandwich, couldn't even finish it, was really bland. Not worth the price. Service was decent. The only thing they got is atmosphere and only if you get a seat outside. Overall, it's not really much for dining, just hanging out and drinking.

MIRANDA IS THE BEST SERVER EVER!! She is hilarious, charismatic, and does an amazing job! She read us the specials twice, she joked around and made us laugh, and treated us like VIPs! On top of the amazing service, the food was phenomenal! I’ve been recommending Flatwater to everyone and I hope they can request Miranda! I had the pesto salmon wrap which was so tasty. My boyfriend had the quesadilla which was a special that night and he loved that too. The Brussel sprouts were the best in Broadripple, too! Update: this has become our favorite restaurant and we came here after we got engaged for champagne! Andy was great! Came again the next Thursday to tell Miranda and to eat yummy cake!
