Beautiful drive through this area. A few pull outs to glass for wildlife and enjoy the sound of the river. We saw this bear family on our way out of the park on the last evening of our visit. What a great experience to see the cubs playing while mama hunted.

Nothing super fantastic here. The arch is kind of cool but it’s not a show stopper. But if you’re in the area stop and grab a picture.

The north entrance is very scenic and popular place to take pictures with the YNP board. Also, this entrance has the iconic Roosevelt arch!

Yellowstone North entrance is the gateway to the magnificant Mammoth hot springs - the colors of nature. A winding board walk takes one up top for a breathtaking aerial view. One has to experience it to believe it’s existence. The north entrance also takes one to other parts of the National park - the Norris Geyser Basin. A short walk to the museum (now closed) gives a glimpse of the huge expanse of the bubbling geyser - small and massive and everything in between.

No. Just get there early since they are doing construction. It costs 35 per vehicle. However If you are planning on going to GTNP or other parks you should spend the 80 on the interagency pass. It's good for a year. You're going to want to stop and grab a picture at the Northern Arch. It's amazing.

Lots of wildlife and I believe you need to keep them in the car. I saw security stopping one family with a dog and they pulled them off the walk way in Mammoth.
