We rented the homesteaders cabin as a unique experience. No electricity, no water, and only an outhouse! It was great fun just off the White River. We opted in for a breakfast in the main lodge one morning and it was very good.

One word AWESOME. This is a don't miss if in the area. Sits on edge of Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. Amy and Phillip and their children are the best hosts, friendly like family. Breakfast is home cooked with farm fresh eggs and homemade fixings and taste amazing. The views are spectacular. Wait until 1030 pm and see thousands of stars another awesome thing to do. You can help feed the calf and chickens in the morning and evening and sometimes give carrots to the donkeys

Stunning views. We stayed in the bunkhouse with shared bath. Clean, comfortable beds, great patio, and the farm animals are so interesting!

The Circle Ranch is the perfect place to stay when you are visiting The Badlands. The accommodations are incredibly comfortable and provide both a sense of community and privacy. The ideal day is to enjoy a delicious homemade breakfast (don't even think about not including it in your stay!), exploring the Badlands and surrounding attractions then back to the Ranch to enjoy the rest of the day on the balcony, including a spectacular sunset.

Worth a call to ask. Our rooms had no evidence that pets had ever been there, but their dog (Boomer), kittens, cow, peacock, and hypnotize-able chicken were all close to the house, so an animal friendly family.
