Amazing trail within minutes of Breckenridge. Climb the peak to 14,200 feet. Great views and well worth the hike all the way up. It's best to start the trail around 5 or 6 in the morning in order to be done before afternoon thunderstorms. Not an easy trail, be prepared.

We climbed about halfway with little to no preparation. The first section of rocky terrain seems to be the hardest part, aside from elevation. Definitely glad we started early and were descending when it was starting to warm up.

Beautiful trail. This was my 2nd 14er. Took about 6 + hours up and down. The trail was snowy and spikes and gaiters were very useful (recommend too). High winds up the mountain made it tougher than expected . Couldn't stay long at the summit as the wind was too strong and it was colder. Go well with proper gears.

It was demanding, especially the las 0.5 mile. You can fill the altitude making it extra challenging. Mini crampons/spikes and trekking poles highly recommended

there aren't specific sites for camping, but if you wanted to pitch a tent by your car, you could. you will see people camping on the side of the road a few miles back from the trailhead, too.
Yes. Limited parking at trailhead. There is parking along the road too. If arriving late, there's a large lot farther down the road.
