I would highly recommend Doctor Schimel to anyone as well as all of my friends in need. Not only does he show extreme care and consideration but his bed side manor is second to none. I currently get a shot in the eye once a month from him and honestly I don't feel a thing when he does it, his hands are amazing. I must also add that his assistant Anais is super Professional, Very knowledgeable and super caring. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to my next appointment. Thank you both for all you do.

The staff of Dr. Schimel is excellent, very professional and well informed. The receptionist Delia is very thorough and courteous. She explained in detail steps to take so Avmed will still pay for services after Jan 1,2023. Dr. Schimel is an excellent and one of a kind specialist that treats my husband, Miguel Hidalgo.. May God keep blessing him for his services. Thank you all.

Super rude when the answer the phone. However, just getting them to do that is a minor miracle. Not sure what the doctor is like but I can assure you has has some of the worst, most unprofessional people I’ve even encountered working for him. Of course, from the looks of these other reviews this isn’t exactly news. Why on earth would anyone choose to go here? Next.

I was on time for my appointment and still had to wait 2 hours. The staff was not very friendly and Dr Kasner was rude and not friendly at all. Will not go back there ever again. I do not recommend this place.

Yes. I have AvMed Medicare and I had no problems. Just make sure you get a referral from your PCP.
I'm not sure. Best answer I have is to call them and ask.
Yes. However you need a referral from your primary care physician before you can go as they are specialists.
I dont have a map of the buildings, but if you take the western most entrance (theres a traffic light and a sign that designates that it's for the nedical arts buildings), go left at the stop sign and into the driveway, there's valet parking for a flat fee of $4.00. Inside, theres a visitors dedk with a person who can guide you to the buildings. There is also an Au Bon Pan restaurant on the ground floor where you can get meals, salads, coffe, pastries, and more. Also on the ground floor is a small pharmacy where you can have prescriptions filled.
They have doctor on call for surgery patients with after hours questions. As with any other medical emergency, you are best to go to the emergency room. They will triage you and if you need an opthalmologist, they will call for a consult for one to come to the ER.
