The Front desk receptionists are not very polite here. Especially Heidi, she came across as very rude. She did not smile at all or act friendly when I was booking my next appointment. She looked super upset for whatever reason. I am honestly thinking of switching to a different primary care facility. I am not surprised with the lack of customer service, however. This is usually the case with bigger companies like Kaiser. The bigger they get, the harder it becomes to effectively manage a company.

Love my Doctor the checking process takes so long. The people checking in have their whole life problems being dumped at the front desk. 😒

Def going to change our insurance once open enrollment happens. Every time I call I end up on hold forever. Went to the pharmacy and they told me it would be a few minutes. I went up after 15 minutes. "We're almost done." 15 minutes later, "I have to leave. Is it ready?" "It's almost done." Don't tell me it's a few minutes when it's 35 minutes?! Then when I went to get my prescription, they told me it was only partially filled and I could drive 25 minutes over 4 days later to pick it up. Never ended up picking it up. Also - made an appt for today and was told it would be at this facility. When I went to check in, there was a San Diego address. Called and was told yes, it wasn't at Oceanside. No, "I'm so sorry the nurse messed up and scheduled it at the wrong location, we'll do our best to fit you in, let's see where we can squeeze you in." I was in pain for several days and not getting care bc I thought I had an appt...now, not sure what I'll end up doing. I guess try their urgent care in San Marcos, which I've heard has terrible waits. :( If you're thinking of switching to Kaiser, DO NOT. Worst decision my husband and I made. I wish I could just call my doctor's office but instead, every time I have a question or need support, it's a giant bureaucracy. Some people might like it, but I hope I never get sick until we switch our insurance bc the process is such a nightmare.

I have always had great medical service at this Kaiser facility. In fact, all of the experiences that I have had with Kaiser's doctors, nurses, technicians and the check-in people have been very positive. Kaiser's website is only so-so, and the company has some pretty lame policies as far as making appointments online and getting through on phone lines for certain departments can be miserable. But once you are in contact with the actual medical staff it is delightful.
