Clean, convenient location on UCLA campus, 2nd floor Ackerman. Easy to make an appointment over the phone and they also do walk-ins. Takes about 30-40 minutes total (paperwork and all) for blood donation. Platlet donation takes about 2 hours total. Comfy chairs for either donation, platlet donations get a personal TV with headphones and an AppleTV to watch movies. All rooms are private from the bustle of Ackerman and donations are incentivized with movie tickets, 4 hrs of comp time (for UCLA employees), or other incentives they are offering. Go donate, it feels great! UCLA Ronald Reagan has a level 1 trauma center, so you know your donation is saving lives!

Yes, they offer comp time for ucla employees, movie tickets, special items to promote blood drives, and other incentives. Give a call to ask about current incentives and set up and appointment.
On the paper work they ask if you have gotten a tattoo within the last 12 months. For plasma and platlet donations they offer 3 movie tickets or $21 gift card to Bruin book store/food court and comp time (4 hrs) for ucla employees, as well as other incentives. I've found that extra movie tickets make great gifts.
