Several hiking trails in the woods. Trees, trees, trees! Saw several deer walking through in the morning. Campground with first come first served sites; $20 electric & $10 for tent. No modern restrooms or showers, but primitive toilets are clean.

Beautiful park. Small but worth the visit. Site 8 worked for our motorhome. 30 amp service but not an issue for us. Trails were awesome with leave changing. No dump station, but Smith Lake has one . The park is 4 miles away and it is only $3.OO.

One of the smaller state parks in the system. A lovely quiet park with a lodge and great disk golf course. We camped in the camp grounds and had a great holiday weekend. Note that the park closes promptly at 10:30 when they lock the gate. It also only has a vaulted toilet and is lacking in a dump station. 30A electrical sites are available in the camp grounds.

Nice small park with lots of trees. Beautiful trails thru the woods. Easy to hike the entire park in an hour or so. The campground has plenty of shade. It has electric but no modern restrooms or dump station that I saw. Most of the camp sites are small, good for a popup or small trailer. There are a couple larger sites but with all the trees it may be difficult to maneuver into the sites. There is also a disc golf course throughout the park.

Questions & Answers

Looking to come up from Burlington, Iowa, to visit mom in Livermore. Any side-by-side sites available, as my brother & family will also be coming (2 pop-up sites needed)?

Jill. Call state park does not have showers or flushable toilets. I would go to Smith Lake a few miles north of Algona on Hwy. 169. It is a county campground.
