I’m raiting this Ammco shop a 1 star because I had problems with my car and explained to them what was the problem they convinced me that they will have my car fixed and all problems will be handled they charged me 958$for the issue plus an oil change ,, they convinced me to leave my car with them and the problem will be solved in no time. A day later I got my car back after paying 958$and now had to take it back because the job was not done. They tried to explain to me it was a defected part and now I’m sitting here waiting on my car again as a worker said it will be put on the on ramp I called and all the guy had to say was “the micanic is on lunch” point of my raiting is they lag on the job and over charge for something that didn’t even get fixed the right way the first time.

AAMCO figured out immediately that my transmission was fine, but my Catalytic converter was shot. My car was repaired quickly and I was made aware of all charges ahead of time. No surprises. Plus I was offered several financing options, which fortunately I did not need, but was a nice possible alternative.

I have an Audi Q5. Usually I have to bring it to a specialist. I thought I might have a transmission problem and wanted to try a local place. This Aamco had some Really Good reviews. I figured they should know transmissions even for a German car. Not only did they do a Fantastic job but it wasn’t the transmission…it was the brakes. Much Cheaper!! Customer service was excellent. Everything they said they would do…they did. A complete diagnosis which was extremely thorough. I had the opportunity to talk to Joe for awhile. He Really knows cars and what he’s talking about. He even looked up reviews on some of the parts we were using to see which method was best. …and most economical. Needless to say I was impressed. I don’t plan on taking my car to La Jolla anymore. I’ll just go here.

I just want to correct the confusion of leaving my car with AAMCO. My car was damaged in the parking lot overnight and after a little investigating by the owner Ron we found that is what happened . I’m here to say he really stepped up and took responsibility. Thank you Ron . Please let Joe know “this lady ain’t stupid neither “ this shop is alright
