Who knew MO had a salt lick?!? Nice area for a picnic. There is a trail to the salt lick area. It is listed as a steep grade. I am going armed with my walking sticks next time!

Its quiet and tucked back there. There's a nice picnic area and small trail that features salt springs and how they used to harvest salt from it.

Questions & Answers

What type of trees are in the park area by the pavilion and bathrooms beside walnut trees? They had thick shiny leaves. We couldn't decide if they were ash or a magnolia variety. Thank you! We enjoyed our visit!

I believe they are ash. I will double check that. I have not seen a magnolia down there on our visits.

Is there going to be activities this coming weekend at the park labor day 2022.

None to my knowledge, no.
