This was a very good place to eat. The food was very good, the service was excellent, & it had a nice ambiance to the place. The restaurant overlooks the lake which is nice but that is also why I can't give it 5 stars. If it would have had an outdoor patio it would have been perfect! The weather was 70° & sunny which made it the perfect day to done outside. The bar below which we were told is owned by the same restaurant owners supposedly had an outdoor patio but it was closed so we couldn't move down there & enjoy the day. With a name like The Boathouse & sitting on the lake I just expected a patio. Everything else was really good about our group's experience. I would definitely eat here again but only on a day with less than ideal weather.

Server was friendly, maybe a bit inexperienced but I don't hold that against them- have to start somewhere. Food was great! I got the blackened chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. Sweet potato fries definitely could have used more time in the fryer. Boyfriend got the huge burger which was so good he finished it. Campfire Ceasar salad was amazing as well and came grilled. I had never had a warm salad but it was very good!

Busy joint, but always good food and service. They don't have fried cod on the dinner menu, only for lunch, which was a disappointment for me, as it's my favorite dish there.

To eat or Not to eat

I do feel like things are overpriced for what you get and the service is slow. The food is alright it would never be my go to place to eat however they have a rib appetizer that is amazing and it’s the only reason I go there. The bartender was a sweet lady I did enjoy her service. They are the best ribs I have eaten in the area. So I only go there for that so I do recommend trying those if you go there.
