worst experience in a long time. Beyond the horrible smell, the hotel doors locks were not functional and the room had no locking mechanism from the inside. We had to wedge a coffee table by the door to attempt to get some sleep. Staff still tried to let another guest in our room at 2am, which was extremely frustrating given that same staff was the one who assigned us our room and opened it for us just hours before.

RUN! Worst hotel I've ever seen. DO NOT stay here. I'll preface this with, I'm not hard to please, and I am not high-maintenance. This hotel is disgusting. Our mistake: our team blindly booked this hotel over six months in advance anticipating the Northwoods Baseball Tournament in Minocqua (tournament was great!). I have learned my lesson to always, ALWAYS read reviews. I knew something was wrong when we pulled in on Friday night (four hour drive and we are all so excited for our weekend) and there were two cars in the parking lot. Not a good sign. Then, we walk into the lobby and the smell... I don't know what it was, but it was not clean. The indoor pool is not working. It was filled and looked like things were growing in it. And when we went back to look at reviews (too late), we could trace pool problems back three years! The key entry system wasn't working, so someone at the front desk would need to let us in each time. When I asked the person at the front desk to clarify, he yelled at me and said "Yes ma'am, someone will be here to let you in!" As if this was normal and my question was unreasonable. First of all, this is a security issue. Second, with staffing shortages, would I be able to get into my room at 3am? Incredibly rude. There was a shattered entry door covered with a tarp. Safety and security issue, not to mention northwoods bugs or critters getting in all night long. No way I would be able to sleep in this place. When we finally were "let in" to our room, this was the last straw, it smelled like cigarette smoke was baked into the walls and the windows hadn't been opened in ages. We could barely breath. We turned and left, and they were not in the least surprised, gave us our refund right away. I honestly don't know how this place could get anything more than 1 star.

Cards to our room didn't work most of the time. Excuses made by customer service instead failure to accurately fix the problem. As you walk to your room is a broken down pool with scum on top of the water. A customer before us was returning her room card because she got a room that wasn't even cleaned before they got it. The bed was messy from being slept in.They left for another hotel. Wifi was horrible. Floors were stained. Had bites on my skin that were odd looking. Bed was hard. When we returned from a late night business convention, the staff was sitting right outside the door with the door open smoking. We had to walk right through that to go into the hotel. We will never go there again.

Not a 5 star hotel, but a 5 star experience in a value stay hotel as a contractor. Clean, friendly, and a good spot to sleep for 6 hours a day. Drains work. Which is rare anymore. Only terrible shortcoming, is no on house laundry equipment.

No it doesn't
They allowed a small dog for us, and I saw medium sized dogs while there. I don't think you would have any issues
Yes to both.
