I have been a resident here for a year and a half now, and with the turnover of new management, it is literally impossible to get ahold of anyone. The office itself is only open two days a week, so good luck getting any help those other five days. Our sink fell off the wall a few months ago, and while they promptly fixed the issue, I was promised a new pedestal or vanity sink because I didn’t trust it, and that never happened. They make promises that they do not keep, are impossible to get ahold of, and just today, they replaced the locks on the entrances of my building, but didn’t fix they key code box, so it is impossible to get inside without scaling the building, which my husband ended up having to do because we live on the third floor and no one was answering the phones. I honestly can’t wait to leave because I no longer trust this place.

I had a fire in my apartment a few months ago and they still have not had the damages fixed. I was promised a renovated unit but come move in day I find out it is not. One of the washers has been broke for months and it is a pain for a whole building to all share one washer.

I have been living here for about 6 months. The unit I am in is absolutely beautiful and the building in general is very clean and seems to be well maintained. The building itself is not brand new so there have been some internal problems (pipes breaking, heat going out, etc.), but they have all been dealt with swiftly. Management and maintenance staff have been friendly and helpful in my experience here so far. I really enjoy living here!

Do not give these people your money. In the year that I've been here it's been nothing but drama and incompetence. The area is beautiful, the other tenants are nice,* and that's where the good ends. I could go on for a long time about the individual problems I've had, but I'll spare you the majority of it. What it boils down to is extremely poor management. Every "upgrade" is a mess--for instance, when they hired someone to redo the concrete stairs. The people who did the job made the concrete too high, so no one could open the door. Or when they said they were doing smoke detector inspections two different times, then they were going to reposition the smoke detectors in all the apartments. No one ever came to my apartment. The pool won't be open for the majority of the summer this year because it needs to be brought up to code. I called and left a message asking about subletting about 10 days before I was due to give my move-out notice and was never called back. Then I was forced to stay an extra month because I was 5 days late in giving that notice, despite the message I left 10 days earlier, which, had it been returned, would have been when I gave them that notice. When I found out I had to stay the extra month, I tried to talk to the manager via email and phone and was summarily avoided. I know how difficult being a landlord is, and I try really, really hard to be polite. But I just went in today to talk to the newest property manager--the fourth that's been through here in the last year--and he talked on the phone for 15 minutes while I waited in his office with him. Never even bothered to put the person on hold to ask what I needed or if I could come back later. Just kept talking. The on-site maintenance team is stellar, the neighborhood is quiet and safe, and that's where the list of good things ends. You can get better service and better quality for the money they're charging you. UPDATE: The landlord before the current one conveniently forgot to put in writing that she wouldn't charge me late fees on those last two months of rent. I'm now $45 short of what I was owed in my returned deposit. It came as no surprise that I was promised a call back and never received it, my message asking for a call was returned, and I was then told I would have to contact the previous landlord for it. Utter and complete bullshit. *Except for the guy in my building who had the police called on him twice and was not evicted. I was threatened with eviction twice when I had trouble paying rent despite my bringing up the problem and my solution before rent was late. The second time I had talked with the third of four managers IN PERSON and she had said she would not charge me late fees and would accept my money when I could give it to her.

Let's just says they're better the Louisiana courts. But not much. Landlord is terrible at getting around to fixing repairs. But hey, it's better then the streets I guess 🤷🏻♂️
