My son just did a trail ride and grooming with Lucas (booked in advance, paid day-of - $35). He was an amazing guide. He was very attentive to my son who loved his ride on Dallas. Dallas was a very calm horse, perfect for my son who fed Dallas carrots and brushed his beautiful hair. Then, Lucas led us all down a trail for a few minutes. Lucas was patient, kind, engaged my son in conversation, answered all our curious questions, and made us feel welcome. We had a great time! Thank you!

Had a lot of fun going on the pony ride. Wanted to do the tour but had to book an appointment. Fun for the kids!

Fun place to go feed some goats and alpacas. Kids love it. Don't wear your nicest shoes for obvious reasons. They have pony rides for kids and you can pet some of the animals. Lots of horses in the area as well.

I've been coming to this place for over 30 years. I took both my kids when they were younger. Now I'm bringing my grandkids

There is often volunteer opportunities at the rescue operations there. Shoestring City Ranch and Kittentime.
Always, you just have to find a horse owner who is open for leasing.
Ok that's ok I think I will have to call
Call the pony ride or just go by. Weds\Sunday. 10\5.
You have to go there because its all based on age. You would call the main number listed on the website
They do not rent horses. Contact the Equestrian Center and the Pony Rides to inquire about employment. FYI: while the Pony Rides/ petting zoo are at the Lakewood Equestrian, the side where you take English, dressage, and western lessons are separate from the Pony Rides. they are two separate businesses.
Yes they lessons for 8 yr olds.
Of course! All riders wear helmets and are matched with horses based on their experience. Never too old to ride.
Isabella it all depends of you want a pipe stall or barn and the size. But it's best to call because the price will xjamfey depending on the amenities you want.
Pony time, while on the same property, is separate from the equestrian center. At Pony time and petting zoo kids can ride and learn about horses. Adults can take lessons at the equestrian center however there are no horse rentals to go on trail.
there is 2 different prices to ride the horses. the pony's I believe where $6, the larger horses where $15 & I believe the petting zoo was $4. hope that helped :)
You'll have to call for times as it's by appointment only. Lessons are given Mon-Sat, Western or English and they are $50 for private.
Riding lessons start at $50/lesson. Western, English, Jumping and Dressage styles offered. Prices and duration varies.
