This CG, Green Mountain, was not open when we visited on Wed July 8th. The USFS website didn't indicate a closure, and still doesn't. There was a gate across the entrance to the CG, with a large CLOSED sign across it. We were momentarily disappointed, however, there are many dispersed camping sites along FS Road 550, and we were able to get an awesome sight, for free. I only gave one star for this review because Green Mountain wasn' open.

This is a small campground with 6 campsites, first come. Very cosy and private, clean campgrounds and vaulted toilets.

Thanks for responding jes, 8 camper buffalo creek in July, scooped green mtn. Looks great. Coming from illinois next week, was hoping it was still open tt
Yes but i don't remember what it is. We've always wtitten a check.
On the big sign when you come in, you'll see a box attached to it, in the box is an envelope to fill out and put the money in.
