Varies with who is hanging around sometimes gang like. I've volunteered over the years but one guy, a paid employee seems to think I need to go thru orientation since the move, when usually do outside ride marshalling, mild pr referrals, etc. Bought part to self repair but they assume they will do it for you, not very empowering, and turn back/ walk off while you are attacked by gang, etc. Only one staff seems reasonable to me others attitude. Used to like ED when signed up but they claim everyone liked Jesse, which is probably statistically impossible, if safety rules etc are enforced and teens, antiauthoritrians, etc. Hosted Youth Bike Summit in Crystal City, with a maker space DIY table making inner tube bow ties, cut your own balaklava, hat , ear👂 muffs/ neck thingies, etc some sewing club helped finish (sewing is more skilled than most may think and not shared machines). Other fundraising maker stuff I've missed as was doing before they started, eg. MiniMakerFaire booth in Reston with NoVA-Labs.org... Some may think I helped suggest moving BarCroft to AMCC, but real suggestion was corner duplex house 🏠 with yard, which would have outside, take zoning change, etc more like Mt Rainier bike coop and not drip toxins on head start playground in green LEEDs like building with light industrial wastes... Didn't join the non profit board as would require firing some people more culture change than likely possible and some other things... Ymmv Added photo of pickup truck salvage/recycling and/or Grinch stealing people's bikes feet away from Phoenix's door at the corner of Columbia Pike at S. DinWiddie... FWIW: don't want canned response from new paid staff I've likely not even met.20210719 UpDate Open No customers inside, Masks sign photos added Occasional Sales in Plaza photos added 2022021x? went in about 26x2.5 tubes at closing FriDay None on shelves/window nice lady looked up in QBP

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Went in looking for a road bike and was able to try out several bikes to get a better understanding of the feel. I would definitely recommend coming here for used bikes since the parts and quality of the bike are overall great.

I was in Arlington and had my bike on the rack. I saw the shop and randomly popped in to ask for help with my pedals. The staff quickly helped me and got me back on the road. Awesome shop and service

For sure my new community and goto bike shop. They hooked me up and had me back on the road in under 25 minutes. My bike felt brand new. Thanks!

Do you guys have anyway to give a free bike to college students? Like you have the earn-a-bike for ages 12-17, anything like that for someone older than that?

Hi Avenging Angel, we have open shop night every Tues night when adults can come learn bike mechanics skills and work on their own bikes. Check out our website (Community Programs > Open Shop Night) for more info. We also provide free, refurbished bikes to adults through our Give-a-Bike partners (Community Programs > Give-a-Bike). While we don’t have an adult equivalent of Earn-a-Bike, hopefully one of those options suits your needs. Thanks for the question!
