Last month, I took two pairs of designer boots to Armando Shoes and Repair to get them set up with a topy half-sole. These were my first expensive shoe purchases, so I wanted to make sure I brought them to an expert who would treat them with care. The owner — I never got his name — was helpful and kind, explaining the quality of the rubber soles and how long I could expect them to last (about three years). He did an excellent job; the soles are pretty much invisible. It was a little more expensive than I was expecting, but I'd pay it again for the level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Armando restored my mom’s vintage Gucci bucket bag. The cloth fabric on the inside needed to be replaced, as the fabric became powdery every time you touched it. Armando was able to find the original Gucci fabric for replacement. The bag looks good as new now! I also got sole protectors for my sandals. Both items were ready for pick up in about 2 weeks. Armando did an amazing job and I definitely will be returning.

Armando is the best cobbler i have yet met. Talked to a half a dozen cobblers and I didn't find the answers from the others satisfying. Armando is not just a cobbler, he is an artist. He listened to what I wanted to accomplish, and not only did he get the job done, he improved on it. I am very impressed. I highly doubt I will be going to a different cobbler anytime soon. He was professional, the price very reasonable and he finished it in a couple of days.
