As I was driving toward Oberlin with my family we decided that Pizza Hut sounded great. Looked at the menu specials online, and considered ordering online so it would be ready. We decided to slow down a little and just order when we got there. Upon arrival, the lady there gruffly told us to sit at the table right by the door without coming out, or even asking if it was ok. We asked a couple times to have a booth, as they weren't right by the door on a cold windy day. Next, we were told that they wouldn't honor the online pricing. I almost ordered online while sitting there to make a point, but decided that a little grace never hurts a situation like this. Next, our order was 2 large pan pizzas, and when it came out, was clear that it wasn't pan, but was just cooked in a pan. Most people know that the actual pan pizza has a distinctive taste and texture. This was not it. The lady argued that it was indeed it. Ok, benefit of the doubt, it's still good pizza. When the bill was handed to us, we found that the charged price was almost double of what I could have ordered online at. We quickly started filling out the survey online. Once she saw this, she quickly came back with a different bill, one that reflected roughly what the online price would have made it, and said that we were given a discount because we weren't happy with our experience. She was accurate; we were not satisfied at all. Her demeanor bordered on rude, complete with rolling eyes and flicking hands. We were customer order #8 and the new ticket #9, on a really calm lunch. I'm glad it wasn't a busy day.
