Whenever my wife and I travel to San Diego, CA on our way to Mexico we stay at Best Western Americana in San Ysidro hotel, We have been going to this hotel for over 16 years. KUDOS to Marissa and the staff all of them are very customer friendly and provide excellent service. The area is safe, the rooms are clean and the hotel provides a good continental breakfast.

We had a great time at this hotel. The full breakfast was excellent, the rooms have been remodeled and there's lots of construction going on. It was kind of noisy. We stayed on the second floor & there were lots of big trucks & buses parked near us. Check in was very slow, we appreciated the free water bottles since we are Best Western Club customers. The only negatives in our stay was that there was no cold water available in the bathroom sink and the two queen beds had sheets that looked slept in. I called the front desk to complain but they checked their records & showed that housekeeping changed the sheets. You be the judge. Other than that, this is a nice hotel. Give it a chance.

My first time here. Is was wonderful!!!! I drive a bus from Las Vegas and the first motel that actually has parking for buses and semi‘s!!!! Breakfast was wonderful the state was absolutely wonderful nice and quiet. 😀

We have many room types a single queen or a double queen (2beds) and. King size bed. Please call the front desk ( they are bi-lingual) and can answer all questions and book the room for you! Gracias
Hello, yes the gym is open during the day, it closes at 7pm. We have a grab and go breakfast, in addition there is a CoCo’s in our parking lot adjacent to hotel as well as fast food places. We are located off San Ysidro Blvd end of 5 in South Bay. Thanks!

Hello Marlo, Thank you for your question, I was told that you had spoken to one of our clerks at the hotel already, I do not have specific information and cannot discuss or post that type of info. over the internet, however I will do my best to explain, at the time our guests check in it is explained that you need to leave a deposit for incidentals, you can leave a cash deposit or use a Credit Card, as most companies will pay for room but not extra charges, we do our best to explain this and to also explain if you use a card from another country it can take a very long time to have the deposit returned, that is why we asked and urge our international guests to use cash, then upon your check out we can return it immediately. With a Credit Card from a foreign country we have no say in when THEY return the money to your card. We released the funds immediately and have no say, it is in your Credit Card merchant's hands now.
