Do not recommend. I stayed here with a friend a couple years ago, and did not have a good experience. I heard recently about recent clashes with the Pacific Beach community. Not surprised

The place was great. Little cottages lined up literally on the pier. For that price I expected to be more cleaner. The inside of the cabinet drawers were dingy. Cracks in the ceiling. Restaurants and shops just out the gate. Sun down, the pier is only for guests staying in the cottage. We had the pier to fish all to ourselves.

Finally after 3 years we made it back to Crystal Pier. Have missed it so much. Falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean is my happy place.

Yes, walking distance for the public part of the pier which is open daily. They may provide private pier access as well.
its a bit chilly ..not much of a beach day but i have stayed there during that month and its still an aweaome place to relax and enjoy the ocean
You can not book online. It is advised to book 6-11 months in advance if you want a specific time. I have booked as soon as 1.5 weeks in advance due to a cancellation. This time I booked in early August for May. Just give them a call, everyday sometimes
Check the web site. There are 3 different style of cottages and off season and on season prices. Minimum nights also for both rate times. Not inexpensive but worth saving for.

Call and talk to Jim. I have seen them when we have stayed. South side has an area used by those who have rental. Privacy is posted on gates, but parking is usually limited on street. No public parking on the pier.
They book about a year in advance
Yes. Each cottage has one parking slot for your vehicle. No outside parking is available though.
$$$$$ Minimum 2 nites in Spring (April) End of pier over water, approx $330/nite. Fall is a minimum of 3 nites, end of pier over water, approx $950 total. If you can afford at least one time it is an awesome experience. Almost a year wait tho. Priority goes to existing customers which is nice if you wish to continue going yearly.
