White sandy Beach, on a labor day, it was quiet and the water was still warm . The water was clean and the smoke was clear for the day . It's a sunny beach early but the trees bring shade in the early afternoon, so hot summer days this is great but after August it get cool in the afternoon so go early. Day use and overnight camping are available . The views and access to surrounding mountains offer huckleberries, rock climbing, back country hiking and exploring , hunting , snowmobiling, four wheeling, c.c. skiing as well the lake offers boating , kayaking, jet skiing and camping in many locations from reserved cabins and campsites to remote camping .

Crowded and loud CG. When we arrived there was 1 open campspot the other 49 were pre-reserved online. So we were not close to the water. There were babies loudly crying late into the night and children riding there bikes basically through our camp site at like 8 am. Not worth 21$ to stay here but there arent many options in the area.

There is no first come first serve any more
We were there 2 weeks ago and learned that there are no longer any "walk ups". As of this year it's all reservation only. Not just Luby, but all Priest campgrounds. We were fortunate to get a site that had been reserved, but they were a no show.
We bought our 2 dogs. There were no sign saying you couldn't that we saw
Memorial weekend????? Call the ranger station
Not at Luby Bay but at Indian Creek Campground and Beaver Creek Campground they do. Luby Bay does however have a nice dump station there. Also Indian creek only has a handful and I think the same for Beavercreek but I think Beavercreek has more hookups then Indian Creek
No. Most folks do the bow anchored and stern staked to the beach outside the swim area. There are slips down the road at Kalispell Bay, as well as at the local resorts nearby.
You can book online. You'll want to get your reservations in now. They're a popular campground and spots fill up quickly. Amazing campground.
