This is a beautiful trail. I had not hiked in a long time and did not want timo hike after sunset but hikers said it takes 45 min to one hour to the top. At the split, the right side is longer but not as steep as the left side

Breathtaking views. Literally, you'll get exhausted with this trail. It's very steep, somewhere trekking poles would actually be a good idea. Make sure you don't get too distracted by the views, as there's a lot of loose rocks and uneven ground. Ensure your ankles are flexible, yet stiff, very easy to roll them. All in all, can't beat the workout, the ocean views, and that tranquil sound of the waves crashing in and out, which echo through the valley.

The trail kicked my butt however it was so worth it. It has been awhile since doing but I went by myself saw lots of other hikers and loved every minute of it.

Challenging hike. I'm not an expert hiker. I hike for fun and the views. Decent inclines in some areas. But really worth the view when you get to the top. There is a flag pole with no flag. An amazing view. Once you get to the fork in the path you can go left (fastest way to get to the top with an incline) OR you can go right (longer way with a gradual incline).

Dogs are not allowed but you will still see people with them. From small dogs to big dogs. If you do take them PLEASE clean after them.
Dogs leave their scent which scares off the wildlife. Do you care? Not many people do. Dogs can be attacked by snakes and or Mountain Lions.
If you're traveling south on Pacific Coast Highway, it's before Malibu Rock. Right across the street from the military shooting range. There's a medium-size dirt lot to park in.
