I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, and there was no housekeeping during the entire time. The hotel lobby is a bar, which on the weekend nights turns into a complete dance party, so if you’re traveling with kids or just flew for several hours, I believe the last thing you want is to walk into a small place blasting music. Also, during the day, keep in mind that there’s still loud music playing, so there’s no room for a conference call, for example. Considering it says it’s a 4 stars hotel, there are better hotels for the same price and with more amenities around the area.

Be aware that these are "European style" rooms, which means small. There's so much to do in San Diego that it really shouldn't be an issue. There's a popular bar across the street, so a street side room may be noisy on some nights. But service was excellent and it's hard to beat the central location walkable to many cafes, restaurants, and the convention center.

Summary - nice staff, terribly noisy, alcohol galore I will first start my commending the staff at this hotel as I found them to be kind, approachable, and helpful. Offering a free drink to guests upon check-in is a nice touch. For the most part, the room was clean, albeit small. Unfortunately, things go down from there - the area surrounding this hotel is a dump. Heavy homeless population with tents occupying the entire side walk in some areas, a prolific scent of vomit. Not a family friendly area, so if you have small kids, kindly stay away. The street the hotel is on is near bars and restaurants that play loud music late into the night on weekends past "quiet hours" as dictated by city ordinance and cars driving by blast their music/honking horns. Unfortunately the rooms aren't sound proof and I could hear a lot of this noise up on the 11th floor. If you're in your 20s/30s, like being surrounded by inconsiderate people, or plan to use the room for intercourse or partying in a one night stand, this is the place for you. If you are a career-oriented professional, sleep at a normal hour, or have a family with you, steer clear. There are some basic amenities such as a laundry facility that are lacking. I think the amalgam of high ratings are a result of self-selection bias - people who enjoy this kind of environment stay at this hotel and hence rate it highly. For the average person out there, I don't think you'd enjoy it.

It’s a hotel lobby but also a cute bar. I love this place because they have a lot of games. We played giant jenga, and shuffle board. They also have some other games. Here’s drink is very nice too. They make their unique cocktails with cute names, plus their cocktails price is reasonable. I love the atmosphere here, and I’ll be back.
