This is a perfect place for serious collectors and crate-diggers alike. They have four turntable/headphone setups, so you can take your time working through a stack of used records. (I lost track of time, and they even stayed open late for me!) I found a ton of gems, and once I got back to my hotel room and looked things up on discogs, I was pleasantly surprised to see they had all recently sold for more than I paid. This shop clearly aims to invest in a relationship with their customers. And, their new stuff is really well-curated. A gem in San Diego, and I will return on subsequent visits.

There are just not enough great things you can say about Folk Arts Rare Records in San Diego! The staff is amazing, knowlegable, friendly and service oriented. They are truly the best record store staff I have experienced in a long time. I have bought from them several times, both from the store and online at Discogs! This is a must stop record store in San Diego! A big shou out to Stef and Brendan for always making it a great experience while selling great records. They have an amazing inventory of high quality records in every genre! Keep up the great work!!!

Love this place since it was called Jupiter Tapes and Records. Always a choice selection of moderately priced vinyl on good condition. Listening stations for used records, even a set of 2 decks and a mixer for impromptu sets and organized mini showcases in store. Thanks for all y'all do. Rebuilding my whole library from scratch after theft isn't going to be easy, but I appreciate you guys making this journey a little easier. Thanks a million. Micah (DJ AriseOne)

Diamond in the rough. Didn’t know this was here. Has a large selection of used original presses and not ripoff priced like a lot of the nostalgia record stores trying to cash in on a fad. Even had 8 tracks (check them some are broken)

Yes, we have a wide variety of Spanish language vinyl records. The best selection in town.
Quite possibly! As is usually the case in our store, it would take some digging, but we are happy to assist you on the various places you should look. Best of luck!
Yeah, we've got some. Our selection ebbs & flows over time. Check out Folk Arts for the vinyl and Jupiter Records & Tapes for the CDs & Tapes.
If you don't have any luck there.. my friends store in Oceanside might have some Elvis Albums. The name of his place is 101 Marketplace.
Yes, at our partner store, Jupiter Records & Tapes!
Yes! We do this work all of the time. You can feel free to bring down records anytime 7 days a week, 10am-6pm, the more the merrier! I also travel to you if the collection is large enough. Feel free to give me a call if you have any questions, (619) 282-7833.
Yes, between Folk Arts and our partner store, Jupiter Records & Tapes, we definitely do!
We do not do any online orders whatsoever. All of our business is done in house, the old fashioned way. And yes, we have many reasonably priced NM Beatles records!
