I am so thankful for this program, they helped me & my husband own our 1st house, but we had\have many disappointments...for one they didn't stand by their word in the beginning when they told us that we would get a gate, a vegetable garden, and sponsor ..we got neither. Also, they put a lot of cheap equipment in the house....the heater never worked in our AC unit which we figured out within our 1st year in the house. We had to replace the stove within the 1st year of being in the house...we also had to replace several other things: floor tiles, the microwave, AC unit, the master bathroom tub, and blinds. We also have things that have come apart in the house that we still have to replace: kitchen cabinets, master bathroom toilet, closet doors, windows, etc..Yes, we are aware of "wear & tear" but all this happened less than 5 years of being in our house. I didn't expect any of this moving into a brand new house.

I to donate a lot a valuable brand new items(Building Material)That has great value. When I was referred to the ReStore,The man answers the phone without acknowledgement of the company.Okay so I state that I have these items to donate. His reply was"I have a whole warehouse full of them" Without saying like let me keep you in mind,Or maybe you can have them to this place or something. No very narrowminded yo say the lease. Plus this is my first time dealing with Habitat for Humanity...Plus not to mention monies I was going to donate. Plus also my professional family and friends.Im going somewhere else.

This place is bs , how is this possibly low income when some people don't even make 26,000 a year!!! And the lady that I talked to was so slick and rude that I wanted to curse her out so badly but I definitely had to keep it professional.
