I love park on 4th of July. We stayed in Jamestown campground over the weekend. Both places are easily accessible, clean, full of friendly employees and nice people the visit.This will be our 4th of July hangout moving forward.

This park has many smaller pieces of land around the lake. We visited several, they were quiet and kept well, even though it's memorial day weekend. Plenty of fisherman, but plenty of boat ramps up n down the lake to accommodate all. Really cute cabins on the west middle area.

We had such a nice time at Pymatuning. The lake is perfect for kayaking. The campground beach is well maintained and quiet. Section 1 of the campground seems like its own campground. 2 is pretty busy because if the boat docks. We stayed in 3 and it was fairly quiet. The new nature center is beautiful and the wildlife officer was so great and friendly!! We also loved the new trail. The kids really enjoyed playing in the creek. I think we found our new home base for camping.

The state park campgrounds are limited to 2 week maximum stays in the summertime, 3 weeks during non-peak, and are only open April-Oct. You will need to look into private campgrounds.

Yes. It is currently a $4.6 million dollar project in design and demolition phase. Construction should begin next year. It will be approximately 100 campsites.

The park doesn't have wifi but a few of the local businesses do. Dollar general in Williamsfield, McDonald's in Andover, the public libraries in Andover and Linesville, Twin Pies in Linesville, Common Grounds and 215 in Jamestown, and Sheetz in Greenville.
