The property is beautiful. We love Jen B, Meg, Trisha and LaLa. They are awesome and the care and attention to the residents was outstanding. My Mom loved it there. She lived there 2 ½ years Mom lived in an independent living apartment, for 2 years then moved to assisted living. the staff in assisted living were ok, some of the evening crew were a bit not too nice. She was in AL for a little over 4 months and then moved to Memory Care. Trisha The Executive Director for most of my mom's time ther was awesome in helping us with moms care and her moves to the different areas in the facilities. I miss her. The residents are promised a lot when signing a lease and for the first year service was exceptional. But then staff shortages meant the rooms not cleaned every week, reduced bus days/time for residents use. Constant employee turnover. The food has really gone downhill from being mediocre to just yucky over two years. My mom's last few weeks before she passed she needed a puree diet. She loved apple juice. They did not have any apple juice anymore, no apple sauce, no favored yogurt for her to be able to eat, so I bought these things for her to be able to eat. She was dying and I felt that there wasn't that good of care for her in her final days. The new management did not even have the curtesy to call me after my mom’s death, Hospice notified me but nothing from Bonaventure. They sent flowers days later only because I stated my review would state how callous I thought the new management that took over was. One last item, Bonaventure has not let their pharmacy know my mother passed away on July 12, they just sent her August medications to them and Bonaventure has an open order for my mother’s September medications. I know this because I called the pharmacy and wondered whey they were sending medication for August and charging me. Really???? I do not want a response from Bonaventure as it would be all BS, It would be insincere. Just words to make themselves look like they care. It's all about the money.

Bonaventure is a place I used to drive by watching this brand new building going up. I watched this building being built while flying into Medford from the Midwest. I always thought that the color scheme was the best and after moving to the area, I found that working with the Team of Executive Director, Assisted Living Director, Marketing Director, Maintenance Director, Food Service and Health Services I and I saw the compassion, and the resolve to keep the residents safe in the COVID epidemic world we now live in in. Times are hard everywhere but be secured that this is the best place to be, and you can't beat having activities, eating 3 meals a day, having your own apartment to relax and sleep in, and having a chair on your deck by your sliding door to watch the activities of the new building project across from the building. Also, there is bowling alley, hair and barber salon, movie nights, and a piano in the reception area. Come See what the wonderful team at Bonaventure of Medford can do for you and your loved one. I am glad that I did.

Let me start this by first stating I very seldom write reviews and even more seldom, I almost never change my opinion on a business nearly 2 years down the road... especially with how things turned around for my grandma shortly after move in. When we initially started looking for a new place for her, we settled with Bonaventure of Medford within a few days of touring the facility. Every unit we were shown was beautifully spacious and so well put together. They did a really amazing tour, clearly as they were able to get my grandmas vote immediately! My grandma insisted on not looking elsewhere and within a week she was moved in. We were beyond thrilled for what seemed to be a nice loving place for her. However, our concerns started to grow before the first 2 months were up. It started with the them billing her twice as much as promised and not putting her reservation down as part of the first months rent and for some reason couldn’t get that resolved for months. The last two years, our concerns grew quite large after several promises made to my grandma were never fulfilled once we moved her in. We were promised the world, if you would and quite frankly we were not given what was promised. Our concerns Continued to grow more once the employee change over was noticed. At first we noticed the helpers never seemed to stick around long and then it was the management. We were planning to give notice shortly due to continued issues. Until recently. Fast forward to a few short months ago when things started to look up. I recently was called by a new manager there, Brandy W. a few months back to talk about care. I don’t think in the last two years there I’ve ever come to a meeting regarding her care and had it be accurate. Nor have I ever felt the care that was in her plan was ever actually getting done. I always gave the new management staff a chance to fix the issues and since speaking to Brandy, we’ve put our trust back into the possibility of a future for my grandma there again. We are continually seeing her take our concern always as important and the complete turn around we have seen in her caregivers, medication givers are just night and day difference. Not only does my family feel this way, we’ve heard similar stories from many other families since covid restrictions are now allowing visits on the patio. It’s so wonderful to see other families finally seeing positive change as well. If you had hired one more incompetent assisted living manager, you would’ve lost not just our family but I’m sure many others. Thank you for giving these residents care they actually deserve and pay for. It’s so amazing to finally have someone here who cares for the residents AFTER they’ve moved in unlike the others who seemed to always focus on bringing more people in however they can. We appreciate you Brandy!! Thank you!

First off I want to say that making the decision to put a loved one into senior living is an incredibly difficult one. With that being said Medford is chock full of options when it comes to senior living, assisted living and memory care. From the moment we walked in the doors of Bonaventure, Melissa and her team were incredibly welcoming and warm. The executive director personally gave us a tour and took her time going over different room options, all of the luxurious amenities, and even introduced her wonderful staff. After consulting with our mom we had no other choice but to choose Bonaventure and its state of the art facility.

I see you have a brand new facility in Medford, and am curious if you'd be interested in a top flight Activities Director? The reason for my inquiry is my wife is the BEST Director in this valley, and I'd like her to work closer to home.

Does Bonaventure Provide Transportation Services?

Bonaventure of Medford | Sep 1, 2019
Bonaventure of Medford | Sep 1, 2019

Yes! Whether you are going to the symphony or the supermarket, we are here for you. Every community has regular weekly trips to the grocery store so you can pick up whatever you like. Our residents can also schedule transportation to get where they need to go—the doctor’s office, the airport, or a family get-together—without worry.

A question about Bonaventure Medford: One meal is included in the monthly cost. Does the resident have to select a meal (ie breakfast, lunch or dinner) for the month, for the week, for the whole stay? Or can a resident pick and choose daily?
