While the younger staff was kind and receptive, the vet herself was incredibly rude and defensive when I questioned whether my cat could have a problem based on a procedure done here. She talked over me and when I asked if my cat could be in heat she immediately started going off on me about how I’m ridiculous for wanting to cut her open for surgery? I never said anything of the sort. By the end of the conversation I felt so frustrated and upset. Never taking her here again. The savings aren’t worth it.

Would not recommend for newer pet owners... The very vague directions I usually got made it hard for me to determine the process of getting my cat neutered, and while most of the newer or younger staff were very polite, the older staff and the vet herself were very disrespectful and condescending whenever I asked questions or made a mistake. If you know the process or have had pets previously then the place is good. Fast work and you never wait for more than 10 minutes.

Always friendly, great advice and try to get you the most affordable way to pay for vet visits or pet meds.

Started out great. Then got really busy because they were the cheapest place in town. Stopped accepting walk-ins, even emergency cases. Closed down around the end of the year 2021. No notice to current clients (albeit, I didn’t have a scheduled appointment). Had to switch vets, but couldn’t get records. Noticed they are open so called for records, was informed about app. Tried that, but it is only vaccination records. Handy, but as I wanted everything I called back. Explained I wanted more than vaccination records, was told it’d be 24-48 hrs. Ok, no big deal. Received “records” less than an hour later. Basically just a copy of my bills - no records/notes of any kind. Called back. Front desk said “there’s a note about a histopathology report, but no attachment” so I asked that she check the physical folder. Employee finds report I am asking about so I request a copy be emailed. She has to check with someone. Comes back on line and says, “so, no” and explains I’ll have to come in person to pick it up. They are open 8-5 T, Th, and Fri. It’s why I’m switching vets - it’s hard to “drop by” if you work, let alone schedule an appointment. I was told that I can call ahead on they’re closed days and maybe someone will be there to help me. This isn’t unreasonable, but seems like a distinct lack of customer service. I know vets are busy, but if they’re telling their front desk people to insist I come in to pick up records instead of scanning and emailing it, then they’re also bitter. These people are too busy and don’t expect them to care or display any “bedside manner”. You get what you pay for.

While I can't answer your question directly, I can and will highly recommend you go to this clinic. Very affordable and helpful clinic! The vet here is amazing and eager to help! This is the only place I will go now.
Yes we have opened a satellite clinic in Colfax! We are open Mondays 10:00-3:00, Thursdays 2:00-6:00 and the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month 10:00-3:00. We are located at 111 E Canyon St. You can call our main clinic line (208) 882-6288 or the Colfax line (208) 669-1514 to make an appointment or just stop by. Hope to see you there!
Susan, We recommend neutering cats between 4 and 6 months of age. Including vaccinations the price is $66 per cat. If you would also like to get your kitty dewormed the price is $86. If you have any more questions please give us a call. You can drop them off for surgery Tuesday-Friday 8:00-9:00 and pick them up 3:00-5:00 the same day and do not need an appointment. Have a wonderful day and we hope to see you in. -Kathryn Veterinary Assistant
My wife says to wait till she finishes her heat the a month an a half later it will be safe to do
On the website there is a chart for spays/neuter for cats and dogs, it's based on weight and it has all the prices. They stick really close to that price too, with an additional cost for any medications administered. But they are always understanding, and will always give you a heads up on the cheapest option. I think there are also nearby vouchers you can apply to use to reduce the cost further, but I believe there is a limit per household.
They are cheaper than the other vets in town. I'm not sure about the payment options. You can call and ask. I definitely make them my choice for an in town vet. Palouse veterans in Potlatch may have a payment plan. Check them out also reasonable.
We recently lost our 2nd veterinarian so we are trying not to take Walk in Exams. If you walk in and we are able to look at your kitty we will, but recently, with Covid, we have been really busy with examinations. I do see that someone wrote we close at 9:00 p. and that is incorrect. We are opened M-F, 8-5
Yeah, my first visit with my new kitten was $60 including checkup and 2nd round of vaccines. Next round of vaccines was a couple weeks later and about $30 ish.
This is dr Faulkner. Thank you for the positive reviews. We use domitor/ketamine/hydromorphone. With ANY surgery this is a slight risk. That comes with surgeries. Rabbits are much touchier that cats with anesthesia. We are open mon at 9 and do surgeries t-f
We do not neuter rabbits in our Colfax clinic, but in Moscow, it would be $60 for the surgery and pain medication.
Actually, the anesthesia is more expensive and rabbits tend to be a bit higher of a risk.
advantage cat for use on kittens and cats 8 weeks or older and weighing between 2 and 5 pounds. Make sure he weighs enough before using. can definitely give pyrantel 1 ml per 10 pounds.
