went here recently with a small group of friends and absolutely loved it. i remember coming here on a field trip when i was little and it was just as good as the last time! i wanted to stop and stare at everything but i couldn’t even get thru the whole building with the amount of time we were there. jam-packed with the coolest rocks, minerals, and fossils in the valley!

My family which on this particular day, included not only my hubby, but his father, my step daughter and our 2 grandsons. We all had fun enjoying the different colorful rocks. And we could not believe how many rocks they had on display. It seemed to go on and on. We also loved the gift store. So 5 stars all the way!

We had so much fun here! The workers are super kind and helpful. The museum is huge and there is so much to see. We had a very large group but it wasn’t a problem. We also bought a bucket to gather rocks and we had some people do sluicing and it was so much fun. Everyone went home with something they were excited about! Definitely recommend!!

A gem of a rock museum filled with gems! Take time to look at the rocks under ultra violet light, so interesting! The staff was super friendly and helpful. There were a lot of meteorites.

If you call or stop by there is always someone with tons of knowledge available with where to look and what to find
There are people at the Crater Rock Museum who have the experience necessary to tell you if what you have is a meteorite or not.
They do identify rocks and the gift shop is where you could find someone for that which is free. Only admission fee for the museum.
I’m not sure
You can buy rocks at the museum, they have quite a selection.
Now
I have not heard of a membership yet . I just go in and shop .
Yes think the price is by the inch. If you join museum club and take class you can cut it. They have a lot of equipment for members to use for hourly fee.
Officially appraised, no. But we can give an educated opinion.
If you go in or call there is always someone available with the information you're looking for. They are closed Sunday and Monday.
Yes, but it is very reasonable: $7 for adults, $4 for students, $5 for seniors and veterans, and $20 for 2 adults and 2 children over 6. Children 5 and under are free.
