Fantastic campground! The sites are adequately sized for several tents. The bathrooms and showers are fine and spaced well throughout the campground. Access to the river and great hiking trails, as well as many campsites located under old growth redwoods.

Cool.location absolutely beautiful. No walk ins makes reserving a big joke. They won't even let you in to see the campground unless you have a site. Theft issues. Yeah like the rest of California. Other options close by make up for California politics.

We love Jedediah Smith Campground. Especially the cabins. The bathroom is always clean, the showers are always clean! The view to the river is very good! The visitor center is inside the campground.

Clean bathrooms, large beach with slow moving water. Some areas with sand and others with rocks for fishing, lounging around, and saw some rafting. There wasn't open areas for camping but was very nice to spend a few hours.

Does this campground allow dogs ?

Well, I am not sure about the previous post but my cousin brought her large shepherd mix and there were other dogs all around us. They do require them to be under supervision at all times (leashed to owner) and to sleep in the tent or camper with the owner at night, i.e., no loose dogs wandering around, no uncontrolled barking. If you can follow those rules then your dog is welcome at Jedediah.
