This is one of the nicest state parks I've been to. It's on a beautiful river, there's lots of tree and plant cover which makes campsites feel more private, and the historic aspects of the park are really cool to see, particularly the grist mill. There are also paw paws if you are here in early September.

Great little campground! Well maintained, clean, quiet. Not HUGE campsites, but you're not on top of each other, either. Plenty of room for our popup camper on one site and our friends in a large family sized tent on another site. Super friendly and helpful rangers. Unfortunately, we visited when it was absolutely POURING rain for the weekend, so we couldn't do everything we wanted to, but we'll definitely go back!

One of the best hiking spots in Maryland. A hidden gem. Oh, and never crowded. Not as secluded this past Sunday but still a beautiful and peaceful place to walk and hike. We still love it

Yes. The campground has both electric and basic sites for tents, pop-ups and motorhomes/RVs as well as six mini-cabins featuring beds for four people with electricity. All sites have fire-rings for campfires. Firewood and bags of ice are available for purchase 24/7 and the small camp store is open from Friday night through Sunday morning for information and basic sundries. Two modern bath houses, one per camp loop, feature showers, toilets, sinks and laundry/dishwashing rooms and are open 24/7 to campers only. Reservations preferred - visit parkreservations.maryland.gov. Walk-ins allowed, subject to availability. Facilities and sites are ADA-compliant. Located off Craigs Corner Rd. between Wilkinson Rd. and Stafford Rd.
