Be Aware ! Ordered 9 yard of concrete pour for backyard project, to Person X on phone from Crown Hill Company for a friend (friend has language barrier so I ordered for him). Order was received and everything was set. Gave them a phone number and address for the house to make delivery. The day of concrete pour, truck delivery guy claims he got instructions to pour 18 yards by the company ! Ofcourse a backyard project can't just accept double the volume of concrete, so we accepted 9 yards and rejected the rest of it. Now the fun part of story begins: 1) Called the company to clarify about this mess on their part. They told, that a Person Y from the company went ahead and called in at the phone number, before the delivery date and despite the language barrier, claimed that 9 yard original order has now been modified to 18 yards. 2) The way Crown Hill Company Works, or (worked in our case) - they didn't send any confirmation of modification to 18 yards, no receipt of order , or payment plan or card etc. which a normal sensible business will do. They simply poured the concrete and demand the money afterwards on phone. 3) Since we rejected the extra 9 yards ( its concrete ! What will we do with the extra 9 yards?? Build a statue and put their Crown on it ? ), the person on phone demands we pay the entire 18 yards cost or face legal action in the consumer court for not paying ! Well atleast now I know the kind of the company this is and how they keep their prices attractive- that's one way of doing business) 4) Of course my time is more precious than fighting for 9 yard of concrete cost in court, so We (Consumer ) proposed that we find a middle ground and pay for 9 yard + 4.5 yard and settle down. They asked for 1 hour of break from phone call and finally returned to accept the terms and settle the bill. Well, we ended up paying 1.5x the price of marketed 9 yard of concrete and my friend got the project done. The way the contact person jumped to legal action very clearly showed that the company has pretty good amount of experience in such cases. And the way their billing department works - take order, modify order , deliver extra and finally send a bill after all the sham, take legal action, Seems pretty professional in what they do. Keep it up guys! Update: I spent some extra time on Google reviews - if you think my review is fake - check "Raonel Rodriguez" review from 1 year ago - billing department has a starring appearance in that review as well.

Crown Hill in Vallejo has been the best! Not to be confused with the "other" crownhill from Napa. Gus and Fritz have been very knowledgeable and friendly and have made my orders very seamless and easy for my backyard project. I definitely recommend!

The purpose of this review is to let potential customers know of the quality service I have experienced at Crown Hill Materials in Vallejo. I had been wanting for a while to do some paving in my backyard. The customer service from the members of this team was outstanding compared to others in the area. I had price checked for months and found their service to be above average in acknowledging customers and their quality of service. I felt they offered all possible options and were very patient when providing the pricing and offered more affordable options. Thank you to the Crown Hill Materials crew, I wish I can name them all but I did not have not one bad experience. Thank you ALL!!!
