This is a completely unprofessional place of business. I am from Anson County, grew up in Anson County, but I do not reside in the area anymore. However, two kittens showed up at my brother, and his wife's, house. My brother work long days, and my sister-in-law is out of town. After informing this location that I put the kittens in a box with holes, and that I needed to bring the kittens today because my husband is highly allergic to kittens, and one appeared to be injured from what I come see. I was told that I could bring the injured kitten, but to keep the uninjured kittened because they only perform intake Monday - Thursday, and today is Friday. I asked if they could make an exception because I did not want to risk my husband's life for an animal. They would not make an exception, so apparently human life is not important to the people at this location. Then, I was told that they wouldn't take the kittens from me because I don't live in the area. I informed them that my brother gets off work when they are closed, and that my sister-in-law was out of town. I cannot believe people really operate like this. This would never happen in the Raleigh area. Even when you try to do the right thing, it still gets you no where whatsoever!!! I would give zero stars if it was allowed!!!

I WAS TOTALLY IMPRESSED !!! This place is amazing. They truly care about what they do. The dogs and cats get great healthcare, food and play time. So when you adopt from them you know you're getting the healthiest family friend possible. I know they also work with alot of rescues so that euthanasia when they are over crowded is avoided at all costs.. This is a great group of people working hard for our four legged friends and for Anson County.

Love it, so awesome, great friendly staff. I went to volunteer with my step daughter and ended up adopting our new addition to our family. A 1 year old feline named Stormy aka Molly! The tuxedo kitty laying down is her. I included a few more who would love to find a good family to adopt them. I'll be back in August to adopt another one again. Enjoy the pics.

Puppy killers. They allowed their employee to abusively handle a group of surrendered puppies. After one of the puppies bit the employee out of fear and self defense, animal control was sent to their foster home to take the biting puppy for a 10 day bite hold quarantine. But they took the wrong dog, 4 month old Shayla, and this "shelter" ignored the foster mom when she alerted them to this fact. Shayla had never bitten anyone, but the shelter ignored multiple attempts from the previous owner, the current foster family, and the local SPCA to correct the mistake. They claimed that they thought Shayla had rabies, yet they allowed people to pet and play with her, so that was a lie. Yesterday, they killed Shayla. They knew they had the wrong dog, they knew she didn't have rabies since she was allowed to be handled with no precautions, and they killed her just to spite all of the groups that had told them that they were wrong. The employee who mishandled the puppies and all the staff involved in wrongfully seizing and killing Shayla should be disgusted with themselves. They should never be allowed near an animal again, and I hope that they can't look in the mirror without vomiting. But that would require having a conscience, and if they had that, this wouldn't have happened to begin with.
